Juventus have been tipped to go after Lazar Samardzic and try to finally lure him away from Udinese after a pair of botched transfers. The potential relegation of the Friulani would surely help their chances. While the rumors about a clause allowing him to leave for free in that case have been dismissed, his team would inevitably have to lower its demands, TuttoSport informs.

At that point, the Zebrette would only ask €15/16M for the Serbian starlet. His valuation has also decreased because he hasn’t had a remarkable season. Hans Nicolussi Caviglia could be thrown in the deal.

Juventus are well aware of that and will pay close attention to the performances of Samardzic in the final few matches before deciding whether to target him. He’s been chatting with Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz and wouldn’t mind joining them in Turin.

The Friulani are currently third-to-last with a two-point deficit from Hellas Verona, Frosinone, and Empoli. The 22-year-old has had a seesawing campaign, not always making the starting XI. He has logged 4 goals and 2 assists in 30 appearances.

Our Take on Juventus and Samardzic

Udinese’s relegation would ensure his departure and, in reality, coming to terms with them wasn’t particularly challenging for Inter and Napoli. His price tag has never been exorbitant, which contributes to his appeal. In addition to the demands of his entourage, the reservations are tactical. He’d be an intriguing and high-ceiling fit in the hybrid role behind the striker in Thiago Motta’s 4-2-3-1.
